Timeframe
2021 — 2022
TL;DR
Worked with a team of consulting experts to establish a web presence for a new business they launched. Aside from the typical tasks such as the information architecture, we had a special focus on branding and web design, ensuring the website sets forcustomer apart from competitors.
1. Bureau Website Development
🎯
Task
Design an easy to use and memorable website for an expert team launching a new enterprise
Avoid decisions and layouts that are obvious and used by competitors
Use a no-code builder that would allow fast development and sleek animation — we went with Readymag
1.1 Homepage and navigation
Decided to not use a typical landing page layout with vertical scroll but rather place the content on concise separate pages.
👨🏻💻
Process
01
Created several drafts: structure -> style
02
Went with minimalist design with some expressive details: color gradients, geometric icons, a serif font for accents
03
Prepared web prototypes and ran usability tests
04
Set up the website, finalized navigation, layouts, interactivity and animations
05
Updated the website with new team members, service categories and promos, as the company scaled
1.2 Animated internal pages
Placed <- and -> arrows on each page bottom to enable easy navigation.
Departure point for the website design was the color palette:
Pantone Colors of the Year 2021
This color scheme and reliance on geometry served as the basis for other designs and ensured consistency.
Example: case study created by another designer and stored on the website
✅
Results
Web presence with a distinct brand identity established for the bureau
Website updated and supported after the launch
2. Learning Experience Design Course Landing Page
🎯
Task
Create a landing page for a new product of the bureau: "Learning Experience Design" educational course
Develop a slightly distinct style as the product was aimed at new audiences
2.1 Hero section and mobile menu
Again, the objective of the client was to set themselves apart from competitors by avoiding typical layouts "everyone else" used
This led to solutions such as the vertical sidebar menu for desktop screens
Abstract architecture served as a metaphor and a key visual — as the course was offered to "educational solution architects"
2.2 Landing page layouts
Solving the task of creating a new style, we have:
(1) Kept the same fonts
(2) Further developed the geometric design, using more complex shapes
(3) Kept the same color scheme, adding more shades of grey and more white color for backgrounds
👨🏻💻
Process
01
Several layouts and style drafts created and reviewed
02
Final design developed in collaboration with an illustrator
03
Created the website on the same platform (Readymag), added animations
2.3 Landing page layouts
Each course module was accompanied by a separate abstract geometric illustration matching the module objectives
✅
Results
Landing page launched on time well before the course launch
All available seats on the course sold over a 2-week period
Page in continued use for further course cohorts
2.4 Course authors and mentors + signup form
